What truly makes us happy?
Nowadays, energy is everything. People can pick up on energy quicker than words. So, if you are happy in the present moment and you walk into a crowded room, you don't have to say anything, people will quickly pick up on your happy energy. Have you noticed that?
What is happiness?
Studies show that happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by pleasant emotions like satisfaction or joy. For some people, it differs.
Psychology today states 'the key to lifelong happiness is taking time to cultivate small tweaks on a regular basis. To also incorporate habits into your daily life... small things like keeping a gratitude journey or notes on your phone, choosing to be kind, learning to forgive, and committing to goals can make happiness a permanent fixture.'
I do agree. Happiness can be found in the smallest things we do for people or for ourselves. Little things that are not material or just simply not overthinking of unnecessary subjects and just living fully in the present moment.
How do you define your happiness?
Staying Active
To me, happiness is when I am moving, it's when I am active in a sport, exercising or just playing games or working doing what I love.
Can I CHOOSE to be happy?
Absolutely, I am in control of maintaining my happiness. I am in control of the attitude I choose to have when facing adversity or pleasant times.
Creative Mode
My happiness also stays in my creative muscle. We all have that muscle, sometimes I got to believe in mine for it to be effective. I tend to close my eyes often and remember the old days in the refugee camp. To attain happiness as kids, was easy; we didn't have a lot to think about, and all we had was our little brains and creative imagination.
Photography
We didn't need a camera to become photographers. We created a camera and by the power of imagination, we were photographers.
Can happiness be created?
Most definitely, YES!
Happiness does not have to come from things, it can come from activities and certain words of encouragement, love, motivation, and positivity. Genuineness also brings happiness to the world and to one's life. When we strive to genuinely serve people or animals we achieve happiness.
Practicing gratitude
It's going to be hard to practice gratitude on a daily. When things build up and are not expressed, it's hard to stay thankful. But when one manages to stay in the gratitude rhythm - in the mix of chaos that's how one manages to protect the happiness within.
I may not have a pair of sunglasses but I will create one.

What truly makes us happy?
There is a large number of people who would agree that what brings us happiness involves momentary pleasure and when we participate in activities that brings us closer to our goals, we feel happiness. It also includes when acknowledging and embracing certain energies and emotions we feel, even the ones we don't want to feel.
Examine
We get to sit and examine our body and if we feel healthy, our mind knows that our loved ones are safe and sound, our stomach is full and hydrated, and our bills are paid. . .
That's what happiness feels like...
Being blessed with love, knowing that this person that I am with will always be by my side through thick n thin, and the love I have for myself people benefit from it...
That's what happiness feels like.
I hope that in your search to find happiness you search inside and you use your creative energy to create your own happiness in the middle of the unfortunate.
Cheers to the success you are about to have!
