Tap into the characteristics and mindsets of the greatest warriors in history.

We live in a world where we don’t have to survive or work as hard as our ancestors did. We use our minds more than our physical bodies, as compared to the old days or in the ancient times. This post will help you understand the ways of an ancient warrior, character and heart and mindset.

We honor our brave and courageous warriors who put their lives on the line for the great of humanity and freedom. These great Warriors can teach us lessons that we can embody to overcome the toughest battles of our lives or learn new ways we can enhance our resilience.

5 CHARACTERISTICS OF THE GREATEST ANCIENT WARRIORS

A WARRIOR STRIVES TO CHALLENGE THEIR PHYSICAL STRENGTH TO BUILD RESILIENCE.

A warrior is he who has built discipline through healthy habits, overcame physical or mental challenges, this warrior has the abundance of bravery and resilience on his side.

When we think about the greatest ancient warriors, Alaric the Barbarian who ruled the Visigoths from 395 to 410 CE.

Visigoths – Germanic people united under the rule of a king and living within Rome Empire during late antiquity.

As a ruler he was labeled as a “Barbarian,” was actually a Christian. He was a strategic leader and was lethal. His strategic and bravery mindset as well as physical strength made him successful. After being credited with sacking Rome, Alaric the Barbarian continued making his impact through Rome empire into parts of Africa. This warrior was fierce and brave but when it came to the power of God, Alaric the barbarian admitted defeat when his ships were destroyed in a storm.

A courageous warrior is the one who admits what they can and cannot control and who is aware of the greater strength that is above all.

A WARRIOR ALWAYS SEEKS TO IMPROVE THEIR LEADERSHIP SKILLS

When we think of great ancient warriors these names come out William Wallace a Scottish Knight, Khutulun, a Mongolian princess and Gihanga culture hero who established kingdom of Rwanda.

Every man dies, but not every man really lives. - William Wallace

William Wallace was the Braveheart Scottish Knight who fought the English army alongside Andrew Moray a Scottish Leader. His leadership skills and strategic mindset to secure Scottish independence rewarded him greatly, even made him a national hero and arguably one of Scotland’s most famous individuals.

William Wallace was a legend on the battlefield; however, his true strength and power was in his ability to organize troops and inspire people.

The next legendary warrior who truly embodied leadership and strength was Khutulun a Mongolian princess.

From when she was very young Khutulun watched and accompanied her father on battle missions, and by doing so, she gained the skills and knowledge to make herself valuable and lethal on the battlefield. In the 1200s, she conducted and organized the largest military campaigns across Mongolia, by using her expert horse skills to defeat her enemies.

She was equipped to be a leader.

Another warrior king who was also recognized in Oral history was Gihanga. a Rwandan cultural hero, who helped establish the ancient Kingdom of Rwanda. Gihanga introduced foundational elements of the African Great Lakes civilization, this means fire, cattle, metalworking, hunting, woodworking, and pottery.

People described Gihanga as a talented warrior king with amazing leadership, technology, and spirituality skills. Rwandans believe that Gihanga ruled Rwanda from his palace in the forest of Buhanga, This was an area that was retained it's forbidden and sacred status through the period of colonialism until new government took place in 2004.

A WARRIOR HAS A SPECIAL SKILL OF GOAL-SETTING.

Warriors train for battles day in and day out, they set goals that are actionable and that can produce growth, protection and peace. A true warrior would not run into battle without having a goal or a plan. It’s like going to a battle blind and without armor. A warrior must know what he or she wants to accomplish in a battle for them to be successful in a battle.

Ancient warriors were powerful in their strategy to organize troops and recruiting for strong warriors who were determined and fierce to face whatever the enemy intended for evil. Great ancient warriors were determined to bring peace and win battles for their nations. “WINNERS NEVER QUIT AND QUITTERS NEVER WIN.”

A WARRIOR WHO HAS DETERMINATION KEEPS MOVING FORWARD.

Challenges will always come, things will always happen, life will always sometimes not be fair, but you know what warriors do? They keep moving forward. Warriors who are determined are focused on their goals... Regardless of how small the goal is, be determined to accomplish it.

Ancient Warriors and Kings faced many challenges in pursue of their Goals and dreams, they’ve lost many battles to win many battles due their determination and the willingness of never giving up.

ANCIENT WARRIORS HAD COURAGE TO FIGHT AND PROTECT.

Courage is the choice you are willing to make out of God’s will be aligned with your own strong will. The willingness to keep fighting and protecting the ones they love. This might mean some different for many but what it means to many is that as long as we are breathing, we should live in gratitude and courage to fight.

Cheers
