PUSH-UPS

You hardly see anyone doing push-ups in the gym, everyone is always on a machine or dumbbells. Adding extra weight is very beneficial for muscle growth for sure, however, mastering your body weight is an effective way to live longer, be healthier, and have more energy.

Push-ups not only strengthen your chest, but it also gives your triceps the pump they need. It is scientifically proven that exercising with your own weight is as effective as using weights and also provides great strength and definition for your upper body muscles. Lastly, but certainly not least, push-ups also give your core a great challenge. So, if you want to get extra abs... do push-ups.

- The Great Gatsby

PULL UP BAR HANG

It is important to understand that not everything you do at the gym to get strong needs to be complicated, heavy, or impossible. We can improve by doing exercises we used to do when we were young. Back then it was just playing but now it can be one of the workouts you implement in your routine for a good back stretch and to improve your grip.

KETTLEBELL FARMER WALK

What is Kettlebell Farmer Walk?

Very simple and effective exercise that involves carrying heavy weights (20lbs, 35lbs, 40lbs) and walking 10 to 20 yards and back. It doesn't have to be only kettlebells but dumbbells also work with this exercise.

Farmer's walk targets your core, hips, back, shoulders, arms, legs, and forearms. You'll get a full-body workout at once. This workout is so effective that not only it strengthens all those muscle groups but it provides a boost of energy while bettering your heart rate and building muscle endurance and strengthening your muscle fibers.

MEDICINE BALL SLAMS

Medicine ball slams come with great benefits. It helps the athlete or non-athlete gain explosiveness and strengthens your muscles from your shoulders to your core and your glutes and quads.

Med ball slams also help with your stress levels. Life is all about letting go of the things that don't serve us any good. Ball slams help you control your breath while releasing all your frustrations.

It challenges you to feel mind & body connections and increases your athletic performance. Even if you are not an athlete it will help your ability to move more energetically with confidence.

ALTERNATING JUMP LUNGE

Alternating jump lunges are not only fun to do but it increases your athletic abilities, even if you think you are not an athlete anymore. To do jump lunges effectively you must engage your core, you don't have to jump high but you can if your knee strength allows you to.

Athletes who use this exercise tend to have better mobility, strength, speed & agility. They are able to perform with confidence knowing that their hips, knee strength, and core are at their highest health.

Remember that when you choose to drive up to the gym, you make the greatest investment in yourself. Everything you are doing right now will give you the juice to live healthier and more fulfilling lives.

Thank you for giving these 5 exercises attention. I hope that it will help provide the results you seek in your fitness journey.
