3 WAYS WE CAN BE FREE FROM ANGER

Be free and delivered from the spirit of anger.

As we know it, the world we live in is wild and angry. This world is full of greatness but it's also full of suffering. This has been the way of the world since the beginning of time. Therefore, we shall put on the full armor of God, so we can be protected.

Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. - Ephesians 6:11

Luckily, God came down from heaven and become the word, this word helped many people find peace and purpose but the word itself was not enough, so therefore the word became the son of man.

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name, Immanual (which means, God with us). - Matthew 1:25

A man named Jesus Christ who came and died for us and our sins. Who showed us the truth. Who showed us that if we believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord our God. We will be saved. Saved from what? Darkness, anger and all things that the enemy use to put fear in us.

Anger is not from God. They do say that anger is a normal emotion, which it is. We all experience this emotion.

We get angry with ourselves; we get angry with the world and some of us get angry with God.

This emotion is normal, but it never gets us anywhere.

Here are 3 biblical ways we can overcome the spirit of anger:

  1. Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to be angry.

Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. - James 1:19-20

When you note that you are slowly going to lose it, quickly let your mind think on this scripture. This is tough, but the heart and mind of a warrior is disciplined.

  1. Let out the emotion but do not sin and do not allow the sun to go down with the emotion of anger.

Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger and give no opportunity to the devil. - Ephesians 4:26-27

A true warrior finds a way to resolve whatever is troubling his mind or heart, he accepts the situation and allows God to take care of the situation.

  1. Understand that you can control that emotion.

A wise man controls his temper. He knows that anger causes mistakes. - Proverbs 14:29

This is a big lesson we can learn in all areas of our lives whether it's relationships, business, sports or just life in general. We must learn what we can control and work on it every day until you've fully allowed God to be present in the middle of the emotion.

Prayer that will be your armor when the spirit of anger arises.

Heavenly Father, king of the universe, God of peace and patience, help me in this moment of anger to slow down and invite you to guide both my character and conduct. Father, who isn't surprised by the things that make me angry, grant me a grace-filled perspective towards the people and circumstances that have set me off. Lord, show me the right way to walk through this situation, letting go of the quick anger that tempts me, and speaking up with gentleness. Help me to accept that ultimately the resolution is yours to unfold, not mine to force. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
